On November 11, 2025, Fuji Machine (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (FMT), a subsidiary of Fuji Machine Asia Pte. Ltd. (FMA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Engineering at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) to advance education and research in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Intelligent Electronics. With the benefaction of the Fuji Scalable Placement Platform NXT KMITL will gain a significant competitive advantage by providing students and researchers with access to state-of-the-art SMT technology used in leading global manufacturing facilities. This milestone will further strengthen the position of KMITL as a premier institute for cultivating the next generation of engineers in smart manufacturing and intelligent electronics.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Joji Isozumi, President & CEO of Fuji Corporation; Mr. Jun Sasaki, Managing Director of Fuji Machine Asia (FMA); and Mr. C.K. Sun, General Manager of Fuji Machine (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (FMT). Representing KMITL were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somyot Kiattivanishvily, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Dr. Uma Siboonruang; and Asst. Prof. Kiakkrai Suksud. Witnessing the ceremony were section managers from Fuji Machine Thailand, along with KMITL faculty, lecturers, staff, and students.
Under this collaboration, FMT will not only provide advanced SMT machines and related equipment to enhance the instructional and research opportunities at KMITL but also ensure that students gain practical, industry-aligned experience that meets modern manufacturing standards.
